For over 30 years, The Handmade Cake Company has been making delicious wholesale cakes and traybakes, by hand, for coffee shops and cafes across the UK and Europe. All our cakes are scratch-baked (we don't use mixes) using kitchen cupboard ingredients. Our wide range includes a growing number of Gluten Free (though you'd never guess it!) products, many of which have won Great Taste Awards!
Sapori D'Italia is a family-run business, with over 30 years of experience in producing authentic, high quality Italian products such as: Pesto, Olives, Antipasti and Flavoured Extra Virgin Olive Oils for all sectors. We believe our quality comes through freshness and the use of only natural ingredients. As part of our mission to maintain our philosophy of freshness, eight years ago we made a very important step forward by forming partnership with our basil supplier and became growers of D.O.P. Genovese Basil, which is the key ingredient used in all of our Pesto’s. Our all natural recipes are studied down to the molecular level to ensure no artificial stabilisers or emulsifiers are ever required. The range of quirky flavours are developed and made by world renowned ice cream maker and scientist Manolo Imperatori. With over 100 years of Family history in traditional Italian ice cream making in his blood, Manolo has dedicated the last 10 years to the development of an innovative vegetable based fibre which we use in our modern ice cream recipes. This ingredient, exclusive to us allows us to make ice cream that is:
- Easy to scoop straight from the freezer but has a slow melt rate
- Super smooth in texture
- Lower in fat and sugar
- Gluten free & egg free
Our products are an ice cream / gelato hybrid with a lower air content than other commercial ice creams, they are made from the best quality, responsibly sourced, natural ingredients and are available in unique scooping flavour combinations most of which have been specifically created for the food service industry and are not available in retailers. At Northern Bloc we are a team of ice cream fanatics - headed up by Directors, Josh, Dirk and Manolo for whom the pursuit of ice cream perfection is an everyday obsession.

Ice cream is a science and currently Manolo is continuing to drive forward the science of low sugars and dairy free. In addition to our core range, we have a range for kids, Little Bloc, made with no refined sugar and in March 2018 launched a new range of vegan ice creams.

We’re an award-winning, family business where phrases like handmade, small batches, locally sourced and hand-piped all ring true. The brainchild of Peter Craig, he decided that he wanted to jump off the conveyor belt of life and do something entrepreneurial. His father Ian, decided that Peter was far too young to have all this fun on his own and Beckleberrys was born. We are proud to be based in the North East and our ethos is all about putting great taste and textures at the heart of everything we do. Yorkshire Sculpture Park is located 7 miles outside of Wakefield and 20 miles south of Leeds in West Yorkshire. YSP is conveniently located one mile from M1 Junction 38 and is served by Leeds-Bradford, Doncaster-Sheffeld and Manchester International Airports, all within a 90-minute drive away.
The best postcode for sat nav is WF4 4JX. Exit the M1 at Junction 38, take the A637 towards Huddersfield, and follow the Yorkshire Sculpture Park brown heritage signs for one mile until you reach a roundabout. At this roundabout, turn left and follow the road through to the YSP car park and Centre.
