Ian and Lesley Buxton, their girls (36 milking cows), and their small and dedicated team have been making ice cream on the family farm for over 30 years. We are dedicated to making ice cream that only ever contains 100% natural ingredients, uses as locally sourced ingredients as possible and of course doesn’t put any pressure on our girls. Our nutritious and fresh milk moves as little as 100 metres every day, from the farm dairy to the production unit where it is made into Yorvale’s delicious ice cream.

Rodda’s was born in 1890 by Eliza Jane Rodda, who started making Cornish clotted cream in her farmhouse kitchen in the heart of Cornwall. Now in the fifth generation of the family business, they are still crafting their Cornish Clotted Cream in the very same way. Rodda’s have been using milk from their herd and that of local dairy farmers, who farm within 30 miles of their production unit. As they say “You can’t make the best cream without the best milk, so we have carefully selected farmers who take real pride in what they produce.” and that is as true for Yorvale as it is for Rodda’s.

Here at Yorvale we wanted to create something a little bit special, and we believe we have.
