Fipronil - Food Safety Update

Latest FSA statement in regard to Fipronil in eggs:

Investigations into Fipronil incident in Europe continue. We have now established that more eggs from affected farms than previously identified came to the UK. It is very unlikely that these eggs pose a risk to public health, but as Fipronil is unauthorised for use in food-producing animals we have acted with urgency to ensure that consumers are protected.

Total Foodservice Solutions Ltd sources eggs locally and are Lion branded, we are confident based on the supplier’s responses that products that contain egg are free from this contaminant.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely through the local authorities and supplier updates and will update accordingly if any developments arise.
